Platelet-Rich Plasma

PRP uses the patient’s own cells, it is considered safe, natural, and minimally invasive in veterinary medicine.

Platelet-Rich Plasma

What is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a regenerative therapy created from a pet’s own blood. A small blood sample is collected, processed in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets and growth factors, and then injected into injured or diseased tissue to stimulate healing, reduce inflammation, and improve tissue repair.

Because PRP uses the patient’s own cells, it is considered safe, natural, and minimally invasive in veterinary medicine.

How PRP Works

Platelets contain powerful growth factors and cytokines that:

  • natural
    Stimulate tissue regeneration
  • natural
    Promote collagen and cartilage repair
  • natural
Improve blood supply to damaged tissue
  • pain
    Reduce pain and inflammation
  • natural
Accelerate healing of soft tissue and bone

Benefits of PRP in Pets

natural
Natural & Autologous

Uses the pet’s own blood → very low risk of rejection or reaction.

natural
Minimally Invasive

Often performed with sedation only and no major surgery.

natural
Pain Reduction

Helps decrease inflammation and improve mobility in orthopedic diseases.

natural
Faster Healing

Supports recovery from injuries, surgery, and chronic degeneration.

natural
Reduced Medication Dependence

May decrease long-term need for NSAIDs or steroids.
